ESL Authority is a site dedicated to helping teachers make informed decisions related to teaching abroad. In addition to an active job board, we provide free in-depth hiring guides as well as interviews and insights from former teachers.

Moving abroad for work will always be a big decision – our goal is to help prepare you for every step of the process. We focus on everything from job requirements, the hiring process of each country, and the experiences of other teachers so that you know what to expect from start to finish.

Who

ESL Authority was founded by a former teacher and all writers and researchers have TEFL or ESL experience. All of us have been through the job search, interview process, and teaching phase and know what type of information prospective teachers need to make informed decisions.

We also actively partner with current and former teachers so that they can share their experiences and we can ensure our information is accurate and up to date.

Why

ESL Authority was started to help cut through the noise – anyone who has ever considered teaching abroad has thought to themselves “why does it have to be so complicated?” Our goal is to research, vet, and compile the best information out there so that you only need to make one stop when considering a teaching opportunity.
